Privacy Policy

The short version

Your Station's camera and microphone are sensors that are analysed on the phone. Alarm Mobile never listens to or watches you. The only recordings that reach our servers are the short clips captured after an alarm trigger, which are encrypted in transit, visible only to your paired phones, kept for your plan's retention period and then deleted — and which you can delete at any time, along with your whole account.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, sign-in codes (stored hashed), session records, and the make/model and an anonymous hardware identifier of each phone (used to grant one trial per device and to secure your account).
• Station state: armed/disarmed status, battery and connection state, and event records (what triggered, when), sent to our servers so your Remotes can show them.
• Event media: a snapshot and a short video clip with audio, captured automatically only after an alarm trigger (motion in the entry zone, motion inside while armed away, glass break, loud noise, tamper). Uploaded over TLS and stored on our servers in the United States.
• Microphone analysis — not collected: while armed, the Station measures sound loudness and two frequency bands on the phone to detect glass breaking and loud noise; the audio is discarded immediately and never leaves the phone. The microphone is off while disarmed and in Home · Private mode.
• Live View and Two-Way Talk: streamed directly between your own devices (our relay is used only for connection set-up, and a relay server carries the media stream when your networks require it). Not recorded or stored by us.
• Purchases: what you bought and when. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers. Accessory orders include a shipping address.
• Consent records: the version and date of the acknowledgements you accept when setting up a Station, and of the Terms you accept at checkout.

How we use it

Only to run the Service for you. We do not sell your data, do not use your recordings to train anything, and do not show ads. To run the service: deliver alerts and video to your paired phones, enforce licenses and trials, process orders, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your video for anything other than showing it to you.

Retention

Event media is deleted after your plan's retention period and immediately when you delete an event or your account. Event video and snapshots are deleted after your plan's retention period (24 hours, or 30 days with a storage plan). Account and order records are kept while your account exists and as required for tax and accounting.

Sharing

Stripe (payments), ShipStation and carriers (accessory shipping), Google Firebase / Apple push services (notification delivery), and our hosting providers. Each receives only what it needs for its function. We disclose data when the law requires it.

Your choices

Download any clip from the app; delete events; unpair phones and sign out from any device. Delete your account and all of its data yourself at any time: in the app (Station Settings → Delete account, or the Remote menu) or at alarmmobile.com/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and removes your account, Stations, event history, clips, licenses and storage plans; receipts stay with our payment processor, and an anonymous device identifier is kept so a free trial cannot be repeated. If you cannot sign in, e-mail contact@alarmmobile.com and we will verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
