Self-monitored home & business security
Alarm Mobile turns the old smartphone or tablet in your drawer into a real alarm panel — keypad, camera, siren and tamper detection — and puts the controls, alerts and live video on the phone you already carry.
Three parts, no hub
There is nothing to wire, no hub to buy and no installer to schedule. Two phones and the Alarm Mobile app are the whole system.
A spare Android phone or tablet, plugged in and mounted where it can see the door. It is the keypad, the motion sensor, the camera and the siren in one device.
Your everyday phone. Arm and disarm from anywhere, get alerts with pictures the moment something happens, watch live and talk through the Station's speaker.
An encrypted relay in the cloud connects the two. Pairing uses a code shown only on the Station's screen, so nobody else can attach a phone to your system.
Setup in minutes
Download Alarm Mobile on the phone or tablet you want to use as the Station and choose “Alarm Station”. Sign in with your email — no password to remember.
Plug it in and mount it with the screen toward the room. Draw the entry zone over your door on the camera preview and set your entry and exit delays. The app walks you through the few phone settings that keep it awake (setup guide).
Install the app on your own phone, choose “Remote” and scan the QR code on the Station. Pairing is done; you can add family members the same way.
Arm Away or Arm Home from the keypad or from your phone. Walk out during the exit delay. From then on the Station watches, and your phone knows first.
What it does
Motion inside the zone you drew over the door starts the entry delay so you can walk in and disarm. Motion anywhere else while armed away triggers the alarm at once.
Move the Station, knock it off the wall or try to close the app while it is armed and the alarm sounds immediately — the panel protects itself.
In alarm the Station forces its volume to maximum, sounds a siren through its speaker and flashes its camera light. Intruders learn quickly that they have been seen.
Entry and alarm notifications reach your phone even in Do Not Disturb, then update in place with a picture of what the camera saw.
Every arm, disarm, entry and alarm is logged with a snapshot and a short clip you can play, download or share.
Open a live, encrypted video stream from the Station on demand, and speak through its speaker to a delivery driver, a pet or someone who should not be there.
Pairing secrets never leave the Station's screen, media is delivered over signed links that expire, and clips are kept only as long as you choose.
Put a prepaid SIM in the Station and it needs no Wi-Fi, no router and no wiring — the only alarm panel with a cellular modem built in. Home Wi-Fi works too, and if the connection drops the Station still sirens locally and sends its alerts when it is back.
Front door, back door, garage, shop, boat, rental — each spare phone becomes another Station on the same account, all supervised from one Remote.
No Wi-Fi, no wiring, no installer
A phone carries its own connection. With a prepaid SIM, an Alarm Station works anywhere there is a cellular signal and a power outlet — or a battery bank — so it protects the places no one ever bothers to alarm.
Runs off 12-volt USB power, watches the cabin door, and tells your phone the moment someone steps aboard — at the marina, the storage lot or the campsite.
Tools and materials walk off overnight. A Station in the trailer or the unit sounds a siren, sends you a picture, and lets you shout at whoever is there through the speaker.
No contract for a place you use a few weeks a year. Arm it when you leave, check the live view from anywhere, move it to the next property when the lease ends.
Out of Wi-Fi range is not out of reach. One old phone on a cheap prepaid plan covers an outbuilding the house system never could.
A business that moves needs an alarm that moves with it. The Station goes in the bag with the cash box.
A hotel room, a booth at a show, a moving van full of furniture overnight. Set it up in a minute, take it down in ten seconds.
Prepaid data plans for a second phone start at a few dollars a month; the Station uses very little data except when it uploads an event clip or you open Live View.

Questions
Any reasonably recent Android phone or tablet with a front camera. Older devices that no longer get updates are perfect for this — the Station needs a camera, a speaker and a charger, not the latest processor. The Remote runs on your current Android phone; the iPhone Remote is in development, and spare iPhones and iPads will be able to serve as Stations in version 2.0.
No. The Station can use its own cellular data — put a prepaid SIM in it and it works anywhere there is a signal, with nothing to wire and no router to configure. Wi-Fi is fine too. Either way the keypad, camera, tamper detection and siren keep working even if the connection drops; alerts and clips are sent as soon as it is back.
No. Alarm Mobile is a self-monitored system: it alerts you, shows you what is happening and lets you speak through the Station. You decide whether to call for help. There is no monitoring contract and no required monthly fee.
Moving the Station while it is armed is itself a tamper trigger: the siren starts, the light flashes and your phone gets an alert with a picture — before anyone reaches the settings. Trying to close the app or switch away from it while armed is treated as tampering too.
The Station keeps working as a local alarm: the keypad, entry zone, tamper detection and siren do not depend on the connection. Alerts and clips are queued and delivered as soon as the Station is back online. A prepaid SIM in the Station is a good backup for Wi-Fi.
Yes — treat it like a wired panel. The app is designed to run for years on a charger, and the Remote always shows the Station's battery level, charging state and online status, so you know right away if it has been unplugged or has gone offline. If the Station is unreachable for more than five minutes your phone gets a “Station offline” alert. The setup guide lists the phone settings that keep a Station awake.
You and the phones you have paired. Live View runs as an encrypted peer session between your phones; clips and snapshots are delivered through signed links that expire, and they are deleted after the retention period you have chosen. Alarm Mobile does not sell or share your data. See the privacy policy.
Yes. Each spare phone becomes another Alarm Station on the same account, each with its own license, and one Remote supervises all of them.
The license lives on your account, not on the phone. Sign in on the new phone and transfer the license from the old Station — up to three transfers a year.
On this site, at alarmmobile.com/license, with the same email you use to sign in to the app. A Station that has reached the end of its trial unlocks itself within a minute of purchase.
